ABOUT HG HARLESS
Well, hello there! My name is Harry G Harless.  Thank you for visiting my website!
Heres a little bit more about what I do....
The Creator of the Traveling Banjo
HGH Traveling Banjos
I am originally a songwriter who came to Nashville, TN to record and
release my CD some 25 years ago now. As my CD was released and my songs published, I started to hand carve these banjos in my home. Woodworking kind of runs in my family, I guess. My grandfather was a woodworker, which is where I get it from.

I wanted to make a banjo that had the iconic banjo sound, but was small and light weight, perfect for traveling. I ended up with a 34 inches long, extremely light weight banjo which is now known as the ‘HGH Traveling Banjo’!

HGH Mini Electric Banjos
Whereas I still hand carve the Travel Banjos, I let the CNC Machine do the cutting work for the electric banjos. Gary Brethorst along with Steve Smith of RedLine Acoustics are the engineers who wrote the CNC program for the electric banjos.  I wanna thank Steve for partnering up with me to make and sell my electric banjos!
Flying V
We created a new style and look for our electric banjo called the Flying
V! I would not have been able to come up this idea without my buddy
Chet Wysocki. He wanted a style not yet thought of for an electric banjo so he could give his daughter something totally unique. Low and behold the Flying V Electric Banjo was born!
