I am originally a songwriter who came to Nashville, TN to record and
release my CD some 25 years ago now. As my CD was released and my songs published, I started to hand carve these banjos in my home. Woodworking kind of runs in my family, I guess. My grandfather was a woodworker, which is where I get it from.
I wanted to make a banjo that had the iconic banjo sound, but was small and light weight, perfect for traveling. I ended up with a 34 inches long, extremely light weight banjo which is now known as the ‘HGH Traveling Banjo’!
